In short…
Design + Philanthropy
Design is not simply a career choice, for Jessica, it is a life choice; one that she takes very seriously. Jessica believes that good design builds a close connection with users and greatly influences their lives. She believes design is one of the most powerful forces in our lives, and can also be inspiring, empowering and enlightening. Taking part in, and volunteering through community service is fundamental to and by proxy important to Jessica Love and Urbane Design. Jessica is passionate about giving back to our Austin community. She commits herself to a multitude of philanthropic and leadership roles, all of which are close to her heart. She is a huge animal advocate and shares her home with a rescue dog and cat. In the last year alone, she has been involved with a large number of local charities, inclusive of: multiple personal fundraisers for Austin Pets Alive! Including a fundraiser at her own wedding, built a doghouse for Barkitecture Austin, benefiting Austin Pets Alive!, and in conjunction with networking peers and Austin Business Link hosted a fundraiser for SAFE. Additionally, Jessica is a mentor for YWA Connect and Big Brothers Big Sisters, a board member for Ten Thousand Villages, and has partnered with Austin Habitat for Humanity as the beneficiary for her annual music showcase that takes place during SXSW. The annual party started in 2015 and is all about celebrating our design clients, local business, local artists/ musicians and giving back to our local community. Jessica believes that community service promotes personal growth and self-esteem, brings a better understanding of environments, fosters empathy and self-efficacy, strengthens teams and makes a huge difference!
With Gratitude,
Jessica Love, Urbane Design
