The owners of this beautiful Northwest Austin home are busy business owners with two children. They knew their home had potential, but needed help realizing their vision and design aesthetic. Urbane Design remodeled the kitchen and three and a half bathrooms in order to turn the space into a home that the owners felt comfortable living and entertaining in.

Prior to the remodel, the owners did not feel comfortable entertaining in their home. As avid cooks, they felt uninspired by their kitchen's aesthetic and function—it simply did not allow them to utilize it to its full potential. We installed white quartz countertops with gray veining to give the kitchen a clean, modern feel. Additionally we installed a deep sink to hold their large kitchen appliances, while the gas stove faces an open dining area, allowing the couple to converse with guests or their children as they are preparing meals. This space has been transformed from uninspiring to a space that the client never wants to leave.

We completely gutted the master bathroom in order to double the size of the walk-in shower. The space is clean and polished with white tile accent walls—similar to the aesthetic of the kitchen. The shower is a glass enclosure with a hexagon mosaic floor time and a strip of deep blue slate tiles as an accent. A sleek drop-in bathtub sits just below an existing frosted glass window, which lights the bathroom naturally while still allowing for privacy. The master bathroom also features a double sink and vanity with contemporary mirror lights, beveled edge mirrors and a luxury ottoman. We wanted this space to be a place of calm for the couple before the begin and end their busy days as business owners.

Urbane Design managed every aspect of this project—from concepting and executing the design to managing contractors and subcontractors. We made the daunting task of a remodel more approachable for the client, so they could focus less on the logistics and more on enjoying the progress—and finished outcome—of their new home.
